My name is Maria Pohlmann. I was born in 1987 in Zwenkau, Germany. After High School I started Egyptology studies in Leipzig which I graduated as Bachelor of Arts. In this three years I already discovered my enthusiasm for Journalism and my 'weakness' for motorsports.
After initial editorial experiences at Leipziger Volkszeitung and Mitteldeutsche Zeitung, I started journalistic studies at Freie Journalistenschule Berlin while working as a freelancer and gaining first TV experiences at ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG. At the end of my studies I found the entry to motorsport journalism with adrivo Sportpresse GmbH and Motorsport-Magazin.
As a volunteer I gained many experiences in planning and organization of content, development of new concepts and theme ideas, control style and content standards, creating content for different media channels (online, print, mobile), coordinating, researching current and target group-oriented themes, maintenance of results, statistics, images in the content management system and then I was charged with the responsibility for the motorcycle division.
Parallel I learned Spanish for two years and got press officer for ADAC Junior Cup (later powered by KTM) from January 2013 on where I am writing press releases and general reports until today, populating and sending out press releases and images, dealing with sponsors, public relations and assist in TV recording. The year after I started to work for the ADAC Mini Bike Cup and the ADAC Pocket Bike Cup too. In august 2014 I presented the newly created Moto3 Standard / Moto3 GP Class inside the Superbike*IDM through a press conference. From her reintroduction 2015 on I also represent this racing series in public relations affairs.
